Modi Swearing in And Hindi Patrakarita Diwas

आँकड़ों के लिहाज से देश के सर्वाधिक लोकप्रिय शीर्षस्थ नेताओं में से एक नरेंद्र मोदी आज प्रधानमंत्री पद की शपथ लेंगे। संयोग है कि आज हिंदी पत्रकारिता दिवस भी है। ट्विटर आजकल जानकारियों का मुख्य स्रोत बना हुआ है। पीएम के शपथ समारोह के कारण ट्रेंडिंग सूची में हिंदी पत्रकारिता दिवस दिखा नहीं। यद्यपि दिवस वगैरह देश की सरकार निर्माण से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण होते नहीं फिर भी मीडिया संस्थान का जो अवमूल्यन विगत वर्षों में हुआ है वह सोचनीय है। इसलिए, इस दिवस की महत्ता बढ़ गई है।
मोदी जी, लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था की एक बड़ी कमी ये भी है कि बहुमत चाहे तो विपक्ष को शून्य कर सकता है। विपक्ष की शून्यता शुरुआत में लोगों को अपनी जीत लगती है। लेकिन कालांतर में उन्हें अहसास होता है कि विपक्ष का शून्य हो जाना दरअसल उनका शून्य हो जाना है। अब क्योंकि संवैधानिक व्यवस्था में ऐसा होने की संभावना है इसलिए मीडिया को चिरविपक्ष कहा गया। अभिप्राय ये है कि अगर राजनैतिक विपक्ष खत्म भी हो जाता है तो एक संस्थान ऐसा होगा जो विपक्ष में बैठा होगा। यह संस्थान लोकतंत्र में लोगों को शून्य नहीं होने देगा या सुरक्षित शब्दों में कहा जाए तो ऐसा होने की संभावना को कम करने की कोशिश करेगा। 
लेकिन पिछले कुछ सालों में इस संस्थान की प्रकृति में दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण गिरावट आई है। संस्थानों ने विपक्ष में रहना छोड़ दिया है। मीडिया के बड़े तबके द्वारा विपक्ष में न रहने की स्थिति लोकसभा चुनाव 2014 के बाद बढ़ी है। जो मीडिया जनता की आवाज़ माना जाता है, वह मीडिया दरअसल, सरकार की आवाज़ बनने लगा। हुआ ये कि लोग बस सुनने लगे। उन्हें सरकार को सुनने का आदी बनाया गया। उस हद तक कि अब सरकार से अलग कोई बोलता है तो उसकी आवाज़ दबाने की कोशिश की जाती है। लोकतंत्र में तंत्र रह गया है लोग नहीं बचे।
ख़ैर, आपको इसलिए संबोधित कर रहा हूँ क्योंकि जाने-अनजाने आप इस पूरी प्रक्रिया के नायक ख़लनायक प्रतीत होते हैं। तंत्र पर आपकी पकड़ अभूतपूर्व है। लोगों के मनों पर आपका राज अतुलनीय है। लेकिन मोदी जी, इन तमाम बातों के बावजूद हैं तो आप एक लोकतांत्रिक देश के प्रधान। अगर लोग ही नहीं तो लोकतंत्र कैसा और लोकतंत्र ही नहीं तो लोकतांत्रिक प्रधान कैसा। 
वैसे भी, एक व्यक्ति की ताकत का अंदाज़ा उसके द्वारा झेली गई चुनौतियों से लगाई जाती है। एक नेता का कद उसके सामने खड़े सवालों के कद से बढ़ता है। बचपन में हम खेलते थे। शायद आप भी खेलते होंगे। जो खिलाड़ी कमज़ोर होता था उसे “दूध-भात” कह देते थे। यह दूध भात खिलाड़ी खेल में कोई महत्व नहीं रखता था। उसे इसलिए खिला लेते थे ताकि उनका मन रह जाए। 
सर्वोच्च जिम्मेदारी बचपने के उस खेल जैसी ही होती है। आप जिस जिम्मेदारी का वहन कर रहे हैं - उसका सबसे बड़ा नियम है - लोगों से संवाद स्थापित करना। संवाद स्थापित करने का माध्यम है - मीडिया। पाँच सालों के आपके कार्यकाल में मीडिया और आपके रिश्तों को देखते हुए लगता है कि या तो मीडिया ने आपको दूध-भात बनाया हुआ है या आपने मीडिया को। दोनों ही स्थिति लोकतंत्र के लिए अहितकर है।
मोदी जी, सवालों की मजबूती में ही आपकी मजबूती है। मीडिया के सच्चे होने में ही आपका गौरव छिपा है। इसलिए प्रधानमंत्री पद की शपथ के साथ ही मीडिया की स्वतंत्रता का शपथ भी लीजिएगा। अपनी ओर से विपक्ष को सदैव मजबूत रखने का शपथ भी लीजिएगा। मजबूत विपक्ष का मतलब मजबूत लोग और मजबूत लोगों का मतलब मजबूत लोकतंत्र है। आपकी मजबूती के लिए ये शपथ भी ज़रूर लीजिएगा।

How civil society, opposition & students responded to the CAA

Amidst growing uproar over the  Citizenship Amendment Act  across the country, the police on Saturday, arrested the Bhim army chief Chandrashekhar Azad, outside the Jama Masjid in Delhi. Though Azad was denied a permission to protest, he was spotted in a huge crowd which gathered in front of Jama Masjid after the Friday prayers. During the protest the dalit leader was seen holding the photograph of B R Ambedkar. Slogans of ‘Jai Bhim’ rang out from the steps of Jama Masjid. Recent crackdown by police officers on peaceful protesters is uncalled for in a healthy democracy. Earlier to this several protests and the subsequent arrest of the protesters took place in the National Capital region. Declining Indian Economy: Facing A Tough Time

The recent annual financial stability report released by the RBI on the 27th of December 2019 shows that there’s a structural slowdown in India. The report says that the situation is disturbing. The   IMF   has guided India to take immediate action to revive the economy. Dr. Arvind Subramaniam( Cheif Economic Adviser) and Mr. Josh Felman observed that the economy seems headed for an intensive care unit. How bad is the situation In 1991-92, the Indian economy was facing its worst time ever. The industry growth was -9% and the   GDP   was growing at just 1.1%. Comparing the current situation, the industry growth is -10% and the GDP growth is 4.5%.
