Do we all need Modi's 'FIT' Pill?

There is an old saying "A sound mind lives in a sound body" and so our Prime minister is all set to practice it.
Thursday, 29 August PM Narendra Modi live addressed the whole country and inaugurated the 'FIT India Movement 2019' on the occasion of National Sports Day and the birth ceremony of great sports person Dhyan Chand. With a tribute to him, the ceremony had a grand opening including a FIT India pledge and a presentation including great Indian history of martial arts, dance, and sports. Modi said," technology contributed to a sedentary lifestyle and one should work on his/her body and mental peace".

Coronavirus - a disease, thousands of deaths, growing worries, frightened people

कोरोना वायरस से देश में बढ़ रहा खतरा:  कोरोनावायरस (COVID-19 ) , दुनिया के 180 से ज्यादा देशों के लोग इससे प्रभावित है, लाखों लोगों को यह अपनी चपेट में ले चुका है, हजारों लोग इस बीमारी से अपनी जान गँवा चुके है। WHO (World Health Organisation) इस वायरस को   महामारी घोषित   कर चुका है। चीन, इटली, स्पेन, ईरान, जर्मनी, अमेरिका, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, UK जैसे कई विकसित देश इस बीमारी के आगे घुटने टेक चुके है। इस वायरस से मरने वालों की संख्या हजारों में है।    हालांकि इन सभी देशों ने इस वायरस को रोकने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किये थे और कर भी रहे है, लेकिन हालात अब बिगड़ चुके है। अगर भारत की बात की जाए तो यहां भी इस वायरस से संक्रमित लोगों का   आंकड़ा 700 के पार हो चला है और 14 से अधिक लोगों की मौत   भी हो चुकी है। हालांकि यह नंबर बाकी देशों की तुलना में काफी कम है लेकिन ख़तरा गंभीर ही है। इसके रोकथाम के लिए सरकार अपने स्तर पर प्रयास करती दिख रही है।  इन हालात में क्या सही है और क्या गलत: सबसे पहले तो हमें यह समझने की जरूरत है कि जो फैसले सरकार ले रही है वो हमारी भला...

How civil society, opposition & students responded to the CAA

Amidst growing uproar over the  Citizenship Amendment Act  across the country, the police on Saturday, arrested the Bhim army chief Chandrashekhar Azad, outside the Jama Masjid in Delhi. Though Azad was denied a permission to protest, he was spotted in a huge crowd which gathered in front of Jama Masjid after the Friday prayers. During the protest the dalit leader was seen holding the photograph of B R Ambedkar. Slogans of ‘Jai Bhim’ rang out from the steps of Jama Masjid. Recent crackdown by police officers on peaceful protesters is uncalled for in a healthy democracy. Earlier to this several protests and the subsequent arrest of the protesters took place in the National Capital region. Days have passed, however, the anger against the contentious law doesn’t seem to calm down.
